Dear Parent /Guardian & Students,

  • In order to complete the application you must have a gmail account.

  • This account will be used by the school to communicate the results of the application with you.

  • At any point in time before the deadline you may go back to the link below and make changes to your submission.

  • The last change will be accepted as your application.

  • For each subject line you MUST make a first choice then a second choice.   

  • NB: Students submitting false information/forged documents will not be considered for a 6th form place and will be reported to the Ministry of Education and CXC.

APPLICATION & REGISTRATION TAKES PLACE IN TWO STAGES:

STEP 1: Online Application:

  2. Naming of uploaded files:

    • Ensure that you name your files with your first and last name followed by your date of birth. Example "Kari Singh 11081996" (meaning 11th August 1996) because someone else might have the same name as you.

    • All students MUST upload a copy of their immunization card with updated immunizations.

    • EXTERNAL STUDENTS: 

  • If you are an EXTERNAL STUDENT you will need to submit the following documents as 3 separate pdf files during pre-registration:

    • a copy of your electronic birth certificate (and affidavits if necessary)

    • a copy of your results with your school stamp and endorsed by your principal of your school. NB: Students submitting false information/forged documents will not be considered for a 6th form place and will be reported to the Ministry of Education and CXC.  

    • an original character recommendation from your school.

STEP 2: Registration & Plenary Session:

  Once accepted, you must attend a plenary session at our school on: tentatively Friday 1st September 2023.

  All students must read, print and sign, with your parents, the HFCC Contract then submit the physical copy at school during 

  registration.

​

         EXTERNAL STUDENTS: must bring along in a labelled (NAME OF STUDENT) envelope, the original as well as a 

         photocopy of:

  • A stamped letter of recommendation from your former principal.

  • A certified copy of your CSEC result slip.

  • The original and copy of your birth certificate.

  • Your Immunization Card

           

         INTERNAL STUDENTS: must bring along in a labelled (NAME OF STUDENT) envelope the original as well as a 

         photocopy of:

  • If you have written subjects privately and used the results as a pre-requisite to enter form six, you are asked to bring along your original CSEC pre-slip as well as a photocopy.

 

         ON REGISTRATION DAY YOU MUST:

  • be accompanied by one parent/ guardian
    • wear a white top and black skirt or pants.

    • print and bring along the HFCC Contract signed by student and parents/ guardians

         

         REGISTRATION DAY AGENDA:

  • 8:00 - 10:30   Submission of the requested documents (signed by parents)

  • 10:30 am - 11:00 am   Plenary session - students must attend with parent(s) or guardian(s).

  • 11:00 am   Stationery & Uniform cloth purchases/ Seamstress will be available.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ADVANCED LEVELS:

​

Accounting

Any person with a good grasp of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Principles of Accounts syllabus, or its equivalent, should be able to pursue the course of study defined by this syllabus. Successful participation in the course of study will also depend on the possession of research and written communication skills.

​

Agricultural Science

Any person with a good grasp of the contents of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Agricultural Science or Integrated Science or Biology syllabuses or equivalent, should be able to pursue the course of study defined by the syllabus. However, successful participation in the course of study will also depend on the possession of good verbal and written communication skills.

Art and Design

Any person, with a good grasp of the contents of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Visual Arts syllabus or equivalent, should be able to pursue the course of study defined by this syllabus. However, successful participation in the course of study will also depend on possession of good verbal and written communication skills.

​

Biology

Any person with a good grasp of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Biology and Chemistry syllabuses, or the equivalent, should be able to pursue the course of study defined by this syllabus. However, successful participation in the course of study will also depend on the possession of good verbal and written communication skills.

​

Caribbean Studies

Any person who has completed five years of secondary education or its equivalent should normally be able to pursue the course of study defined by the syllabus.

​

Chemistry

Any person with a good grasp of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Chemistry and Mathematics syllabuses, or the equivalent, should be able to pursue the course of study defined by this syllabus. However, successful participation in the course of study will also depend on the possession of good verbal and written communication skills.

​

Communication Studies

The ability to express personal opinions and factual information clearly, demonstrating logical sequencing and appropriate English registers up to the level indicated by the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) English A General Proficiency syllabus or an equivalent syllabus.

​

Economics

Successful participation in this course of study will be enhanced by the possession of good verbal and written communications skills. A good foundation in Mathematics would be an asset to students doing this course.

​

Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship is directed to students pursuing any field of study regardless of their career aspirations. However, a minimum knowledge of the areas of business would be helpful. Successful participation in the course of study will also depend on good verbal and written communication skills.

​

Environmental Science

Any person with a good grasp of the contents of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Integrated Science or Physics or Chemistry or Biology or Geography or Agricultural Science syllabuses, or the equivalent, should be able to pursue the course of study defined by the syllabus. However, successful participation in the course of study will also depend on the possession of good verbal and written communication skills. (Students with Geography or Agricultural Science will have the first preference in being chosen for Environmental Science)

French

Any person with a good grasp of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) French Syllabus, or the equivalent, should be able to pursue the course of study defined in this syllabus.

Successful participation in the course of study also depends on:

(a) good verbal and written communication skills;

(b) prior exposure to the study of the Literature.

Geography

Any person with a good grasp of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Geography Syllabus, or the equivalent, should be able to pursue the course of study defined by this syllabus. However, success in the course of study will also depend on the possession of good verbal and written skills.

​

History

Any person with a good grasp of Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Caribbean History Syllabus or the equivalent, should be able to pursue the course of study defined by this syllabus.

​

Information Technology

Any person with a good grasp of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Information Technology Syllabus, or its equivalent, should be able to pursue the course of study defined by this syllabus. However, successful participation in the course of study will also depend on the possession of good verbal and written communication skills.

​

Literatures in English

Any person with a good grasp of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) English B syllabus, or its equivalent, should be able to pursue the course of study defined by this syllabus.

​

Management of Business

Management of Business is directed to students pursuing Business Studies. A minimum knowledge of the areas of business would be helpful. Successful participation in the course of study will also depend on good verbal and written communication skills.

​

Performing Arts

Any person with a good grasp of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Theatre Arts and Music syllabuses or the equivalent or practical experience should be able to pursue the course of study defined by this syllabus. However, success in the course of study will also depend on possession of good verbal and written communication skills.

​

Physical Education

Any person with a good grasp of the contents of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Physical Education and Sport or Integrated Science or Biology or Human and Social Biology or Food and Nutrition syllabuses or Certificate in Business Studies or equivalent, should be able to pursue the course of study defined by the syllabus. However, successful participation in the course of study will also depend on the possession of good verbal and written communication skills.

​

Physics

Any person with a good grasp of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Physics syllabus, or its equivalent, should be able to pursue the course of study defined by this syllabus. However, successful participation in the course of study will also depend on the possession of good verbal and written communication and mathematical skills.

​

Pure Mathematics

Any person with a good grasp of the contents of the syllabus of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) General Proficiency course in Mathematics, and/or the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) General Proficiency course in Additional Mathematics, or equivalent, should be able to undertake the course. However, successful participation in the course will also depend on the possession of good verbal and written communication skills.

 

Sociology

Any person with a good grasp of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Social Studies, History or Geography syllabuses or the equivalent, should be able to pursue the course of study defined by this syllabus. However, success in the course of study will also depend on possession of good verbal and written communication skills.

​

Spanish

Any person with a good grasp of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Spanish syllabus, or the equivalent, should be able to pursue the course of study defined in this syllabus.

Successful participation in the course of study also depends on:

(a) good verbal and written communication skills;

(b) prior exposure to the study of Literature.

ALL students must do three (3) subjects and Communication Studies in Lower Six

and three subject and Caribbean Studies in Upper Six.
